Former Birmingham Six prisoner helping Kenny Richey

FORMER Birmingham Six prisoner Paddy Hill has come to the aid of Kenny Richey as he struggles to cope with life outside Death Row.

The pair met up last week when Richey – who has claimed to being on the brink of suicide – was said to be close to "exploding".

Mr Hill, who spent 16 years in jail before his conviction for the series of 1970s IRA pub bombings in the Midlands was quashed, said he was now helping 43-year-old get his life back on track.

Court Overturns Ohio Death Sentence

 The Ohio Supreme Court has overturned the death sentence of a man who argued he cannot be executed because he is mentally retarded.

The high court ruled unanimously Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, in favor of convicted killer Clifton White.

Kenny Richey wishes he was back in prison at times
Not many people can say they have looked Death in the face and lived to tell the tale. Kenny Richey can.

He was sentenced to death in America and spent over 21 years in prison, much of that time on Death Row

Kenny was born in Scotland but moved to the States to live with his father in 1982, when he was 18.

Two years later he was charged with the murder of two-year-old Cynthia Collins, who died in a fire in the flat she shared with her mother.

Doctor: Ohio's Lethal Injection Inhumane

ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) — An anesthesiologist testified Monday that Ohio's lethal injection procedure isn't appropriate for dogs or cats, let alone humans.

Dr. Mark Heath's testimony on behalf of two murder defendants came in a Lorain County hearing on the constitutionality of state's method for putting prisoners to death.

ELYRIA — Darth Vader won’t be making an appearance next week when county Common Pleas Judge James Burge holds hearings on the constitutionality of the state’s lethal injection process.

Burge angrily rebuffed defense attorney Jeff Gamso’s suggestion that the three members of the state’s execution team who administer the lethal drugs to condemned inmates hide their identities behind the three masks of the “Star Wars” villain he brought to court Thursday.

Grant Disclosure to Scottish Defendants Petition

There are people whose very lives and freedom are seriously affected by the refusal on the Judicial Systems part to grant disclosure. If evidence and statements have been withheld how can their be any fairness?
