Karma:
Means credibility, reputation etcetera.
You think someone is a dork take down their Karma a notch, you think someone an angel bring it up. It is timebound, so it won't stay forever.
Avatars:
You have to select or upload avatars all over again.
The limits are 70x70 picture gif, jpg or png.
Smilies:
If you see a greyish field around the smilies it means you're using Internet Explorer. IE older than version 7 can't handle high color png with transparency. Live with it or change to a webbrowser that ain't as old as sailing ships...
