This thread discusses the Content article: Time to Move on and get to work

Yes karen, sometime we have joy to see someone free!
I wish the best to Kenny!
Like Farley Matchett my dear friend have said just before to be killed by texas state:
Don't let this be the end. Keep on going,"

Don't give up!

I shall never forget the last words...

We must given to these man and women dignity and ever forget

Love and Peace Always

Karen,

You are absolutely right! But I must say that Kenny's freedom is a bit anti-climatic for me - only because there seems to have been little (if any) celebration had directly with Kenny himself on this website. I would have thought that after all the time and efforts of thousands of folks that we would have had a note of personal thanks or acknowledgement from him. I'm still hoping that he will address us when the 'dust has cleared' and he is able.

Agree entirely!
There's no excuse, as good manners cost NOTHING!

I grew up thanking people even for the smallest things they've done for me. Thats down to my ma
It does bother me Del, but there really is no accounting for people's taste and I instill the same values in my child as those I was raised with ~ including saying thank you, please, excuse me and sorry .............. people who don't say thank you are simply behaving the only way they know how to

Nothing wrong with being polite & being polite is free.
However, Im doubtful at this present time that he will come forward, ask for the list of names and leave his thanks and thoughts for all those that assisted in his freedom.
I mean, if the lawyer and Karen can't get a thank you, what chance is there for for anyone else down the list?
I've resigned myself that this is a one off, cause after so many years in this field, I guess there is always going to be the one person who isn't grateful for what has been done for them.

I guess I'm different than most. I don't expect anything when I help someone. If they wish to thank me, fine, if not...that's ok too! God knows my heart and my intentions on why I did something for someone else.

That is the ONLY satisfaction I need.

No your not different, your just lucky.

This is my first time seeing this unique ungratefulness, and even having the same stance as you [as does Karen], it can't be denied nor invalidated -- the very fact -- its repellent and uncomfortable to witness the ingratitude from Kenny. Its not like Kenny 'was overwhelmed with gratitude for their help'.
Thats the rub.The lack of decency swiped into the face of the kindness given to him -- that's what irks the majority who have directly or indirectly been involved in this case.

Kenny's total disregard of the many good people whose time and care towards him over many years was given out of concern for his well being -- this gets constantly turned around, and the damnable excuses given to him ... are intolerable.
I'm pretty much aware of PICs, and this isn't what Kenny is demonstrating.
He's demonstrating his true colours. Whether anyone likes this or not, its the damn truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So help him God.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then its a freaking duck.

Karen and I have racked up many years on many different cases, and the one thing I'm gonna get crystal clear here ...you were lucky and we were shat upon. Its great that you were shown love, gratitude and care.
Karen, and many others involved in this case simply were not.
There is no nice way to paint this. There is no beating around the bush.
He took the good graces of a good woman and a handful of people and then the masses and stuck his middle finger up to them and told them in not so many words... F*%k You.

Simple as that. We don't have different hearts and minds than any of those that backed Kenny for all these years. What differentiates us from the masses, is that like most people we did do this outta the greater and higher principle! Its the cause he hurts.
I can't count now how many; from the miscarriage of justice victims, have stated categorically that Kenny's actions are pretty piss poor and unforgivable.

Why do they feel this way?
It hurts those involved, it hurts those close and most of all it hurts the cause immensely.
Why would anyone spend vast amounts of time, money and put heart and soul into this cause, when afterwards narcissism is its result?

I tell ya what makes me continue... and I know damn well why Karen will too.. the very fact is that we are good people doing a thankless job and have time and time again garnered a simple thanks for our stance, our time and our work... and if Kenny and his impotenet actions create a apathy, then so be it, we will fight that apathy too and all the stereotypical hogwash out there to continue to get the word spread about others who are suffering injustice.

Thats what we do regardless of our stance or our luck. xxx

I don't give a sh*t if Kenny is grateful for the few thousand hours I've spent on this or not. Really I don't.

But then I grew up with two psychologists, so pretty early in life I saw what trauma can do to someone -- and as early I saw that need and "decency" doesn't necessarily coincide.

If Kenny finds it in himself to learn to cope with reality, then he may "come to his senses" and know what's what and who's who. Before that happens I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Every time I get a reason to reevaluate some of my preconceptions, it makes me that much younger and more vital.
