This thread discusses the Content article: Kenny Richey on James Whale

Hi,
This was a good interview, James gave him a fair hearing and Kenny came across well - in some ways sounding optimistic. I thought it provided a balance to all the negative articles and posts I am reading.

Yes, Kenny came across well, if a little short at times (like pulling hens teeth )

One thing I particularly liked was that his supposed "insensitiveness" towards Cynthia's family had a lot more nuance than what usually is the case. For once, his lack of care about the issue sounded totally reasonable.

As Cheryl remarked he was almost sounding optimistic, which was refreshing.

That was an excellent interview, I have always liked the James Whale show, you could tell by the way he was talking to Kenny there was genuine care for Kenny's future and I think he is firmly in the "Kenny is innocent camp" one thing during the interview that took me by surprise was when He asked Kenny about did he believe in god and kenny replied, he believes in a God & Goddess and that things must have balance, as a Pagan myself this is what i believe.

That was worth listening to ... it's the most positive interview I've heard Kenny give since his release so far ...

I was happy to hear him say Karen is a good woman ... maybe he came across better on the James Whale show than he does on video because the phone was his main line of communication for two decades ... or it could have been down to the way James communicated with him ... as others have already pointed out ... with a caring attitude ... warning him not to fall for the provocation which will come his way.

Still doesn't make up for KR's lack of basic decent manners in forgetting to say thanks to certain people ... sad thing is, by the time he realizes it and gets round to expressing appreciation ... it might just be a wee bit too late for some folks

Hi,
So his social skills could use some work - I guess most people's could after 21 odd years in near solitary! I can't speak for others but as far as I'm concerned he thanked me in that short interview on the day of release - I supported him because it was the right thing to do, not because I expected elaborate thanks.
