Just for fun:) This is who I want to win the competition:) Fantastic singer!!!
SINGING plumber Andrew Muir vowed yesterday to go all out to do Scotland proud in tonight's Britain's Got Talent semi-final.
The 24-year-old is in the toughest heat so far.
He is up against other show favourites such as 12-year-old singer Faryl Smith, 13-year-old comic Charlie Wernham and club singer James Stone.
Andrew, from Fauldhouse, West Lothian, said: "I'm a bit nervous but I need to just try and get on with it. It's going to be that extra bit harder. But I'm going to do my best and hope Scotland gets behind me.
"I just want to thank Daily Record readers in advance and hope I can do Scotland proud."
X Factor winner Leon Jackson, who lives five minutes away from Andrew in Whitburn, has wished him good luck in impressing the TV talent show's judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
Yesterday, Leon said: "I've actually seen Andrew perform before at a singing competition in Linlithgow on a night out.
"It's great to see another local boy doing so well and I wish him the best of luck in his semi-final."
Andrew was stunned to be told of Leon's support. He said: "That's amazing Leon remembered me. I can't get my head round that."
Andrew has an extra reason for getting through to the final - his six-year old cousin Lori, who has cancer.
If successful, he will join Dumfries-born choirboy Andrew Johnston. He qualified on Tuesday.
The 13-year-old's mum, Morag Brannoch, said yesterday he could not thank Daily Record readers enough.
She said: "He's not even thinking about Saturday.
"It's fairly hard to faze Andrew, he takes everything in his stride.
"His granny, who lives in Dalry, read him the article in the Record and he thought it was lovely. He can't thank everybody in Scotland enough for their support."
Britain's Got Talent is on ITV1 tonight at 8.30pm.
