Now you can comment the articles

Wednesday, 19 May 2004

As a test I've uploaded and enabled a component for comments on the articles. This means that if you're registered and logged in, you can comment directly on the page of each article.

I leave no guaranties that comments will be allowed to stand, or that they will be published immediately. Right now I'm testing to filter them afterwards, but if that becomes troublesome I will start filtering them before publishing.

If by any reason

your comment come and then disappear, you are free to ask me why - use the contact form. One of three reasons are the most likely:

  1. It impressed me so much that I decided something had to be reworked as a result - making the comment obsolete.
  2. It was out of context, meaningless ("test" anyone :D), to darn long (use the board), or basically an ad or spam.
  3. It failed to meet even the basic level of courtesy - criticism is perfectly OK and one of the reasons for it's existense, abuse/flames will go to the big black hole where such things end up.

Remember, this is to make the site better and to give you the possibility of instant feedback or spontaneous reaction. Use it, use it freely, but if you want to post a novel or flame anyone use the board instead.

If this turns out well, we'll keep it on.
