This is a post in response to the news article discovered.

I spoke with Patrick by telephone last night (July 15, 2006) regarding the discussion above. His investigation ended after he was attacked and the perpetrators of the drug ring were convicted for their crimes several years later. We would still like to see as many newspaper articles on the entire drug ring bust (Thank you Candyce for the 1983 article which I've saved for future referene). We would appreciate anyone coming forward with more information on the drug bust. I think it is Bobbie Stewart who has passed away and Jimmy Hendrix still lives in the Mobile, Alabama area as far as we know.

We would also like confirming information regarding the how the judge handled the men who attacked Patrick. The information we have so far indicates that:

"Only one of the three men who attacked Patrick was charged with simple assault and fined. The Baldwin County Judge in the case lowered the charge from first degree assault with intent to murder without consulting Patrick, or the Gulf Shores Police Department, where the assassination attempt took place. The other two men were never charged. This is all a matter of record in Baldwin County." http://www.patrickcrusade.org/Synopsis.html
