CAMPAIGNERS fighting to free death row Scot Kenny Richey have started a petition to change the venue of his retrial.

Over the many long and hard years I have been running this campaign, I have met many, many wonderful people. Many have become supporters of the campaign and friends of Kenny and I.Throughout the years some of these friends have died and others are sick and elderly. A vast amount of long-term supporters however, continue to keep in touch 

This makes NO difference whatsever to our request for a change of venue.  Basinger might not be trying the case but he is still a Judge in the very court, they want to retry Kenny in.

Kenny will never get a fair or impartial trial or jury in that town. So please keep passing the petition around.

OTTAWA — Judge Randall Basinger recused himself from the Kenneth Richey murder case on Tuesday, an expected move because he tried the case in 1987 as a prosecutor.

DEATH Row Scot Kenny Richey is just days away from being moved to a county jail, according to campaigners fighting to free him.

Lawyers acting for Edinburgh-born Richey, 43, have applied for him to be moved to the Putnam County jail, ahead of a planned retrial of his case.
