COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The state's attorney general has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse an appeals court ruling that threw out the death sentence of Kenneth Richey in an 18-year case that a prosecutor plans to retry.

PROSECUTORS last night filed an appeal to the US Supreme Court against the decision to overturn the conviction of the death row Scot Kenny Richey, who was convicted of murdering two-year-old Cynthia Collins in 1987.
