Kenny Richey Articles 196 to 210
Mon 1 May 2006
THE spectacular fall of criminal lawyer Angela Baillie, who was recently convicted of smuggling heroin and diazepam to one of her clients in Barlinnie jail, no doubt had heads shaking in disbelief in judges' chambers. But Baillie's downfall began, we understand, years earlier.
Before she even embarked on a career in the criminal courts, she was said to be fascinated by gangsters. While studying law at Glasgow University, Baillie had a Saturday job at Versace, selling Baroque silk shirts to flash customers.
Scot Kenny Richey is one of twenty thousand prisoners on death row around the world. That is according to the latest figures released in an Amnesty International annual report.
Mr Richey was convicted in 1987 of murder and arson in Ohio. He has always protested his innocence, turning down a plea-bargain deal that would have seen him avoiding a death sentence.
Thank you to the many people who have already returned signed petitions to Mr Blair PM regarding Kenny's terrible case.
If you would like to take part please email me and I will send you a copy of the petition either as an attachment in email or by snail mail.
"This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it!"
I have updated the letter template which can be sent to Mr Blair, Gov Taft, AG Petro and anyone else in power. You can see it under How to Help
Thank you

The former fiancée of the Edinburgh-raised prisoner, who is still campaigning on his behalf, hopes thousands of people will sign her petition.
