Unity of Purpose

Generally speaking, the overwhelming majority of supporters choose to observe the direction that the campaign structure determines and channels any suggestions and comments through the campaign web site. Unity of purpose is essential if we are to make further progress in achieving exoneration for Kenny of a crime that was never committed.

Sadly, recent events have shown that there are those who have impaired this unity of purpose by deciding to act unilaterally and make approaches , in their misguided eagerness to “help” to the authorities in Ohio. We are at a critical time in our campaign and serious consideration must be given to how we approach the authorities. Kenny’s legal representatives are best placed to intervene and anyone claiming to support Kenny ought to recognise that fact. . 

Most people co-operate and do what is asked, be it sign a petition or write letters to Kenny or wherever the campaign asks them to. Sometimes though, for whatever reason, this does not always work with some people, and they carry on regardless. This is a total lack of consideration for the work already done in this campaign.

 A campaign I may add which has strived to remain professional and objective.  

It is a matter of common courtesy to follow the guidelines in any campaign. Most people are aware of this. But there is the odd one who appears to have their own agenda and no matter what, they carry on regardless. 

I have been aware of a certain individual for some time who goes on his own merry way despite being told not to. It has got to the stage where he is repeatedly calling me and also Kenny's mother,( which may well constitute a breach of the telecommunications act) as well as also calling media, the Sheriff at the county jail where Kenny will be going, and God only know who else.

We wish these calls to cease immediately. He should also stop calling Kenny's mum, who is too nice to tell him to go away.

 I have asked him to stop making these callls and his response tells me he is not willing to listen.

I have explained that this is not a good thing for him to be doing and to leave any contact like this to Kenny's attorneys. There is no need for anyone to be calling the Sheriff's office, with perhaps the exception of media and Kenny's attorneys. Anyone who has done this, is doing so off their own back and does not have the endorsement of this campaign or from Kenny. 

Kenny is aware of this situation and it upsets him that this is still happening. Kenny does not need anyone rocking the boat for him at the jail where he will have to live.

This is totally unfair since if people get annoyed with calls it could have an adverse affect on how Kenny is treated. 

This particular person is also posting totally inappropriate things on newspaper message boards. Things that are not a thing to do with Kenny or this campaign.

It is clear he has his own agenda for doing so.

It seems it is to promote his own beliefs on various subjects.

It is selfish of this person to do what he is doing and I have been forced to resort to writing this in an attempt to have him stopped.

What he is doing is bordering on harassment and it needs to stop. He has totally overstepped the mark now and I have endured this for many years. I wish it to be known that this person has not been given permission to speak on behalf of this campaign, Kenny, myself or Eileen Richey.

This campaign does not approve of this individual calling official people in Ohio, especially the local Sheriff.  

Much of the media here in Scotland are aware of this person and know he doesn't have any new news to share except what he reads in newspapers or this website.

Many of the views he expresses are not endorsed by the campaign and he does not act on it's behalf. 

I have purposely not named this person but he knows who he is and so do many of the supporters and media.
