So far OVER 1600 Birthday cards have been sent to Kenny

Kenny and I would like to thank everyone who sent him birthday cards for his 40th birthday.

His birthday "celebrations" where a huge success. Thanks to Amnesty UK, Reprieve and the Scottish office of Amnesty also.

So far he has recieved over 1600 cards and they are still coming in to me,
Amnesty and to Kenny. People from all over the world care so much and it is truly heartwarming. I recieved 200 cards in the mail this morning for Kenny.
Kenny was totally overwhelmed by this and he loved the pipers playing for his birthday outside the US Consulate.
He was a little peeved he didnt get any of the birthday cake mind. haha. But I can say it was delicious:)
But he has the pictures of it and he says, "This is the best birthday present
I have ever had"  he even made a comment that if this is his last birthday
then it was the best ever then in true Kenny style he added, if it isnt my last birthday you have some way to go to top that one. haha.

We would also like to thank Keith Drysdale and his twin sons for taking the time to come and play the pipes at the consulate for Kenny's birthday. Keith is an Edinburgh man who took time from work to do this for Kenny.  Kenny got to hear the pipes over the phone several times and he was just delighted about it all. He kept asking me to rewind it and let him hear it all again.

Kenny says, "It must have been a wonderful sight to see you, the kids and
supporters walk down the street to the consulate, led by three smartly dressed kilted pipers. I wish I could have seen that for myself."

So thank you all, each and every single one of you. It has given Kenny a real boost to know he is so cared for. And it made what should have been a special day but wouldnt have been because of the circumstances, VERY SPECIAL indeed.

Thank you all.

Karen and Kenny
