Kenny called again tonight. He was very upset over the execution of one of his closest friends on death row.
James Filliagi, had been a good friend to Kenny for many years. Kenny always said he hoped that Fili would not be killed. Sadly that was not to be.
Thankfully they got to say goodbye. Which was painful and hard on Kenny, Fili and the other inmates.
Kenny says the place isn't the same without Fili being there. There is a huge void and it won't be filled.
Kenny sounded absolutely devastated about the execution.
Kenny said, "Rest in Peace big mate. Now you are free and in that wonderful place you spoke of. I will miss you and never forget you."
Every execution hurts them all on death row but now the people being executed are people who have been there with Kenny for all those years. Its a little too close for comfort.
It just reminded Kenny yet again, how barbaric this system in Ohio and USA is.
