Kenny Richey supporters to petition PM

PRIME Minister Tony Blair is set to be petitioned in a bid to secure the release of Death Row Scot Kenny Richey.
The former fiancée of the Edinburgh-raised prisoner, who is still campaigning on his behalf, hopes thousands of people will sign her petition.
Last year, Mr Blair promised to "make inquiries" about Richey's case in Parliament, but the 41-year-old is still behind bars in Ohio.
He has been in jail for nearly 20 years after being sentenced to death for the murder of a two-year-old child.
Karen Torley, whose long-distance relationship with Richey recently ended, has vowed to keep fighting for his release behind the scenes.
She said: "I have created a petition to Tony Blair to fulfil the promise he made about 15 months ago to intervene in Kenny's case.
"The petition seems to be a success with supporters. I have received several signed copies back already.
"I hope we get many thousands of signatures to hand to Mr Blair."
Last year, Richey's conviction was quashed by an Ohio Appeal Court, but the Supreme Court later reversed that decision.
Copies of the petition will be distributed by Ms Torley if contacted at "This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it!"
